I'm happy to say my new Transcriptions & Scores page is up and running (you can visit it by clicking here), starting out with McCoy Tyner's fantastic solo on Bessie's Blues (from John Coltrane's album Crescent). I'll be adding to it regularly and posting links on social media. Upcoming posts will include a broad range of things from solos of our jazz icons to current jazz titans. The page will also include originals and original arrangements of my own. Feel free to download the .pdfs and if you are able, stop by the donation button - all donations go to offset the cost of transcription, audio and video. Many thanks!

The music carries on and carries us with it!

Updated: Sep 3, 2021

To keep everyone safe during this current surge of the corona virus in San Francisco, the Chez Hanny performance, originally scheduled for this coming Sunday (August 22nd), has now been postponed. I'll post the new date as soon as it's confirmed.

In the meantime, I'll be performing at SFJAZZ on Weds October 27th and November 10th (7pm in the Joe Henderson Lab) as part of Terrence Brewer's A Great Day in Harlem Revisited. We'll be featuring the music of pianists Willie "The Lion" Smith, Luckey Roberts, Marian McPartland and Mary Lou Williams, so stay tuned for more details. You can find tickets here.

Please be careful and see you soon!
