10/20 - Fall 2024 Piano Performance Workshop

For classical players and jazz players alike, this open-forum workshop is designed as a middle-ground between the practice room and public performance, making for an ideal opportunity to play through your arrangements, your originals and/or your classical repertoire to work out any bugs and streamline your overall presentation. Methods for coping with performance anxiety, practice techniques, improvisation techniques, and many other piano performance topics are covered as well, according to the interests of the attendees. The discussion is lively and friendly, and pianists are welcome to play multiple pieces, either all at once or in-between other players. Memorization is not required for classical music, and someone will be there to walk a bass line for jazz players, if desired.
